I Adapt (25th of May) Kakóbar
25/05/2001
This was a show that we had been waiting for. We had this feeling that this show would be a special one. And this it proved to be one of the best ever! Cool bands played: Egosmile, Innvortis, Andlát, Vígspá and us. There were so many kids that turned out for this show. It was like a little festival. Inside it was packed and outside the place there tons of people hanging out all over the place, shootin’ the breeze and having fun. Inside Egosmile set the tone for the night. Their songs were really good, wish they would play more often. Innvortis played next, a lot of people had been waiting for them cause the had not played in ages. Their brand of fun as hell punk rock went down really well and had memebers of I Adapt goofin’ around like there was no tommorow. Vígspá played after us and delivered as usual and had us headbanging like sheeps(?!). Andlát played last and pulled of their best gig ever. Very heavy and a good mosh all around. We couldn´t belive the receptions we got as soon as we hit the first note. The place went nuts with kids flying around, singing and moshing like crazy – Iceland style, with endless goofin around and smiles all over the place. It was so hot, we could hardly breathe. There was no air, little space and lot of bumping into one another so it wasn´t our best musical performance but it was our best show ever! This was just soooo awesome. We played a new song called “Revolt” and it went down well. We gave it all that night and just moshed like there was no tomorrow… Kids were knocking things over and hanging from the ceiling and ended up tearing down some lights and for some seconds there was total darkness… that was cool. There were three Americans in attendance and they all agreed that the Iceland scene is the most fun and that our shows are the best! Take that to the bank!! Thanx to those guys for kicking ass that night. Thanx to all the crazy kids that turned out. We´ll never forget this show. This one will go down in the books. What a way to start the summer….
