I ADAPT (21st of June) Café Thomsen
21/06/2001
This show was VERY intense. We were playing another age-restricted, smoke filled club this time so yet again many of the kids were unable to attend. We were first on stage (or actually the floor) and kicked straight into “…of u-turns and roadkills”, with back-ups and all. As said earlier this show was very intense, so loud that the cops came and threatened to shut the gig down. The bands performance was also very crazy. Birkir managed to be even more angry and mad than last time and spat out some brilliant rhetoric between songs. He also managed to hurt his hand and his feet quite badly when in the heat of the moment (during “demise of my personal warfare”) he attacked a monitor. Ingi has probably never been as “visual” in his performance and Axel as well. Villi managed to stumble over a monitor and fell over and people say they have never seen anyone get up as fast as he did. Unfortunately we were cursed with some tuning difficulties and never quite got ourselves in tune during the whole night. Some other technical difficulties (Villi not noticing the volume on his bass turned down, to be exact) made the sound this night a bit worse than usual. And during the last song, Villi could stand no more and threw his bass off and went moshing. Not our best gig but fun nonetheless. Thanks to Klink for inviting us to play this night and for a brilliant performance and thanks to all the kids who showed up.
