I ADAPT (12th of June) Gaukur a stong
12/06/2001
This gig was a bit weird. First of all, we were playing with 2 bands (maus and Fídel) who aren’t exactly hardcore or metal. That is cool though, a chance for us to expand as a band and get more exposure and also to show that elitism is silly, there are no boundaries in music. This was also the first time we played an age-restricted venue. Something we wish we could live without. We were the first band on stage and fired things up right away. This is the first time we have used back-up vocals and that went much better than anticipated. Villi did the back-ups, strange as he is the most out of tune person, but they went very well. This is also the second time we played our most recent song, “the demize of my personal warfare”, and it went down very well I think, very mosh-tastic. Birkir went competely nuts this time, so much that the rest of the band was a bit worried. Not only was his performance completely insane but his between-song speeches were angrier than they have ever been before, which is good I guess because he touched upon some very important subjects. All in all a very good gig, probably our best performance yet as musicians although the atMOSHphere could have been better. We would like to thank Maus for letting us play with them and Fídel for being so damn good.
