I ADAPT (27th march ’01)
27/03/2001
This, our third show, is by far the largest we have done. Playing in Tónabćr Youth center the line-up was like this: NaCi, Immodium, Mictian, I ADAPT, SnaFu, Vígspá, Dispirited (Sweden) and Millsbomb (Austria). This was our first show with new drummer, Smári, but he really pulled it off and it was a good show. By now there were a lot of kids who knew the words and Birkir took the time to teach the choruses to the people in between songs. He also used this occasion, like always, to speak against homophobia and racism. At the end of our set people cheered so much that we decided to play the first song of the set again. Good show, a massive pit, good attitudes and lots of fun. SnaFu delivered a terrifying set and were unbelievably good that night and Vígspá kicked ass like always with Bóas in ultra-good shape. Dispirited was also a good At the gates-style death metal band and Millsbomb were uplifting and cheerful with their nu-metal meets Dog eat Dog, H-block influence and they were also such nice guys. Hopefully we will do something more with them in the future. Unfortunately this has turned out to be Smári’s last show with the band as he is very busy with Quarashi. We thank him deeply for his help and for being such a good friend and wish him the best of luck.
