Yet another b-party and this one was huge!
Icelands only true veterans in extreme music Forgarður Helvítis were to celebrate their 10th birthday as a functional band in a company of some pretty awsome and varied bands ranging from blackmetal to hc and grind etc. Those who payed tribute to Forgarður Helvítis that night were: Potentiam, I Adapt, Mictian, Sólstafir and Mínus. Each band did cover some FH songs. That was interesting. We covered “Gelding Óskhyggjunar”(Castration Of Wishful Thinking). This had been one of our favourit FH songs. We changed it dramatically but I think we did it justice. We love our version too hehehe! The guys in FH enjoyed it and the kids seem to like it much.
This was our first official show and what a show it was! Killer line up and a good purpose, celebrating Forgarður Helvitis “oldness” hahahaha!!
The receptions we got that night were overwhelming. It was lot of fun and lot of action. Some kids knew the songs and some words from our garage show at Tinna’s place. How cool is that? HA! Axel broke a string but he handled that like a true professional. Thanx to Biggi from Potentiam for lending us his guitar.
Our drummer at that time Bjössi who plays drums for the incredible Mínus. He has lot to do with Mínus and life so this was his first official show with I Adapt and the last. We thank him from the bottom og our hearts for all the good times we had with him and for helping us getting this band launched!! We love you, you fucking prick!! AAAiiiiiiihhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Sangjerihhtiiiiiieeehhhhhhh!!!
Oh yeah, Forgarður was awesome that night. Love those guys…
