I ADAPT’S FIRST SHOW (23. February ’01)

This wasn´t even a proper show… We had just formed the band and a good friend of ours Tinna was gonna celebrate her 20th b-day that weekend. Knowing that she loved punk and hc, we wanted to give her a loud present and an unforgettable party act by playing in her b-day party.
We had just been playin for some weeks by then. She told us that we could play in her tiny garage. How cool was that!? Yeah… We had only finished two I Adapt songs but we´d been jamming some pretty cool cover songs. This b-day party was big, lots of people – all kinds of people. The vibe was good. Playing with us that night were the established smiley metallers Vígspá. They are very good friends of ours, awsome people and what better way to kick start I Adapt as a band than in Tinna´s party and with Vígspá? Hell yeah.
I think we played pretty good, at least we played hard and fast. So fast in fact that we had to play our set twice hehehehe. The kids in attendance went off and everybody had a blast. They threatened us to play more. We covered Bad Brains´”Attitude”, Shockwave´s “Swindle”, Sick Of It All’s “Scratch The Surface” and “Busted” and 7 Seconds “Young Until I Die” with a massive sing-along and goofy dancing - wich was sooo appropriate for Tinna cos she is full of youth and energy.
